Urologist, Dr Hannes Brummer is a Graduate of the Free State University in Bloemfontein and obtained his MMED (Uro) (Cum Lauda) in 1999. He also obtained his FCS SA (URO) in 2000. Dr Brummer has been in practice in Port Elizabeth since 2000 and has established himself as an innovative and skilled surgeon with a passion for people.
Dr Brummer is part of the EC Urology practice at Port Elizabeth’s Netcare Greenacres Hospital; the only high volume robotic surgery centre in the Eastern Cape.
He is an internationally qualified da Vinci Robotic Surgeon. Dr Brummer practices as a general urologist but has a special interest in robotic and laparoscopic surgery as well as urological cancer surgery. He completed his advanced laparoscopic training in Strassbourg, France. This minimally invasive operating technique allows the surgeon to perform operations with less impact on the patient and results in a shorter hospital stay.
