Urologist, Dr Johan Coetzee is a Graduate of the University Cape Town and obtained his FCS SA (URO) in 2007. Dr Coetzee has been in practice in Port Elizabeth since 2009 and has established himself as a skilled laparoscopic surgeon with a passion for people.
Dr Coetzee is part of the EC Urology practice at Port Elizabeth’s Netcare Greenacres Hospital; the only high volume robotic surgery centre in the Eastern Cape.
He is an internationally qualified da Vinci Robotic Surgeon. Dr Coetzee practices as a general urologist but has a special interest in laparoscopic surgery and urological cancer surgery. He completed his advanced laparoscopic training in Strassbourg, France. This minimally invasive operating technique allows the surgeon to perform operations with less impact on the patient and results in a shorter hospital stay.
